Remote Monitoring

Specialists in the supply, installation and testing of Remote Monitoring Systems.

Remote monitoring connects your intruder alarm and CCTV systems to an accredited Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC), so your property is watched over 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, even when no one is on site. If your alarm is triggered, the ARC responds immediately according to an agreed plan.

Monitoring turns a standalone alarm into a system that actually brings a response, rather than simply making a noise that may go unheard.

What remote monitoring gives you:

  • Round-the-clock cover from an accredited alarm receiving centre
  • Dual-path signalling for a reliable, tamper-resistant connection
  • A fast, agreed response to activations
  • The option of police response for eligible systems
  • Peace of mind whether your premises are empty overnight, at weekends or over holidays

We can add monitoring to a new installation or connect a compatible existing system, and advise on the right level of cover for your property and insurance requirements.

FREQUENTLY ASKED

QUESTIONS

What is remote monitoring?

Remote monitoring connects your intruder alarm or CCTV to an accredited Alarm Receiving Centre that watches over your property 24 hours a day, every day of the year. Instead of relying on someone nearby hearing an alarm, a trained team responds to any activation according to a plan agreed with you.

What is an Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC)?

An Alarm Receiving Centre is a secure, accredited facility staffed around the clock. When your system sends a signal, operators act on it straight away, following the agreed response, which may include contacting your keyholders or requesting a police or guard response.

What is dual-path signalling and why does it matter?

Dual-path signalling gives your system two separate ways to communicate with the monitoring centre, such as broadband and a mobile network. If one path is lost or deliberately cut, the other keeps the connection live, which makes the system far more reliable and harder to tamper with.

What happens when my alarm is triggered?

The moment your alarm activates, a signal is sent to the monitoring centre, which responds according to your agreed plan. This usually means verifying the activation, alerting your nominated keyholders, and where appropriate requesting a police or guard response, all within moments.

Can remote monitoring get a police response?

Yes, for eligible systems. Police response is available where an alarm is professionally installed, monitored through an approved centre and set up to confirm genuine activations. As an accredited installer we can arrange monitoring and explain what is needed to qualify.

What can be monitored?

We can arrange monitoring for intruder alarms, CCTV and personal attack or panic alarms, and can advise on monitoring for other connected systems. Whatever the setup, the aim is the same: a fast, professional response whenever it is needed.

Do I need keyholders for a monitored system?

Most monitored systems rely on nominated keyholders who can attend the premises if needed. This can be you, a colleague or a professional keyholding service. We will help you set up the right response plan and contacts for your property.

How does CCTV monitoring work?

With monitored CCTV, your cameras are linked to the monitoring centre so that when a camera or detector is activated, operators can view the live footage, assess what is happening and respond, sometimes including an audio warning to deter an intruder before any damage is done.

Can you monitor my existing alarm or CCTV system?

In many cases, yes. If your current alarm or CCTV is compatible, we can connect it to a monitoring centre, and if it is not, we will explain what would be needed. We can also build monitoring into a brand new installation.

Does monitoring help with my insurance?

Monitored systems often satisfy insurer requirements and can help with your cover, particularly for commercial premises or higher-value properties. Some policies specifically ask for monitoring, so it is worth checking yours, and we can provide the details insurers usually need.

What areas do you cover?

We are based in Burgess Hill, West Sussex, and provide remote monitoring for alarm and CCTV systems across Sussex, Surrey, Kent and London.
