Access Control
Specialists in the design, supply, installation and maintenance of access control systems

As a registered Paxton installer, we design, install and maintain access control systems that give you full control over who can enter your building and which areas they can reach. From securing a single door to running a complete networked system across multiple entrances, we tailor the solution to your premises.
Access control removes the risks that come with lost or copied keys, lets you grant or revoke access instantly, and gives you a record of who has moved through the building.
Systems we install:
- Standalone (Paxton Switch2), ideal for controlling one or a small number of doors
- Networked (Paxton Net2), for managing multiple doors, users and permissions from one place
We can combine access control with your wider security setup and advise on entry methods such as fobs, cards, keypads and readers to suit how your building is used.
FREQUENTLY ASKED
QUESTIONS
What is an access control system?
Access control lets you manage who can enter your building and which areas they can reach, using fobs, cards, keypads or readers instead of traditional keys. It gives you the flexibility to grant or remove access for individual people in seconds.
What is the difference between standalone and networked access control?
A standalone system, such as Paxton Switch2, is ideal for controlling one or a small number of doors and is programmed at the door itself. A networked system, such as Paxton Net2, lets you manage multiple doors, users and permissions centrally from one computer. We will recommend the right option for the size of your premises.
What entry methods can I use?
Depending on the system, people can gain access using key fobs, proximity cards, PIN keypads or readers, and some setups also support smartphone entry. We will advise on the most practical and secure method for how your building is used.
Why choose access control instead of keys?
Keys can be lost, copied or not returned, and re-keying locks is costly. Access control removes those risks: you can grant or revoke someone’s access instantly, restrict entry by time or area, and keep a record of who has moved through the building.
What is Paxton, and why does it matter that you are a registered installer?
Paxton is one of the UK’s leading access control manufacturers, known for reliable, easy-to-use systems. As a registered Paxton installer, we are trained and approved to design, install and maintain their Switch2 and Net2 systems to a high standard.
Will my doors still open in a fire or power cut?
Yes. Doors on escape routes are designed to release automatically if the fire alarm activates or the power fails, so people can always get out safely. We make sure your system is set up to meet fire safety and building regulations.
Can access control link to my CCTV, intruder or fire alarm systems?
Yes. Access control can work alongside your CCTV, intruder alarm and fire alarm systems, for example unlocking doors when the fire alarm sounds or linking entry events to camera footage. As a fire and security company, we can bring these together for you.
Can I see who has entered the building and when?
With a networked system such as Paxton Net2, yes. You can see a record of who has accessed which doors and when, which is useful for security, staff management and investigating any incidents.
Can you add access control to existing doors or take over an existing system?
Yes. We can fit access control to most existing doors and can service, maintain or expand systems that are already in place, whoever installed them.
What kinds of premises is access control suitable for?
Access control suits almost any building, including offices, schools, blocks of flats and communal entrances, warehouses, healthcare settings and retail premises. We tailor each system to the way your building is used.
What areas do you cover?
We are based in Burgess Hill, West Sussex, and design, install and maintain access control systems across Sussex, Surrey, Kent and London.
